Amazon Convenience Keeps on Coming

Amazon announced that they will be opening a convenience store. To keep on brand with Amazon’s user friendly ways, the store will not have a check out line. Sounds pretty great to me.

Customers would walk into the store, tap in metro style, pick out whatever they want and leave. The items customers take out with them will immediately be billed to their Amazon accounts. The store will be called Amazon Go. Currently the store is only open to employees, but will be open to the public in 2017.

This idea could be revolutionary in the grocery world. No lines, no cash. Pick up and go. This isn’t Amazon’s first brick and mortar attempt, as they opened a book store last year. I can see this becoming very successful as I don’t know anyone who enjoys waiting in lines for everyday purchases.
